In this ongoing program, moderated by Kimbell staff, artists and architects discuss works in the museum’s collection, share the special insights of the practicing professional, and relate older art to contemporary artistic concerns, including their own.
Benjamin Muñoz is a largely self-taught artist whose primary focus is printmaking. In his series of massively scaled woodcuts, Muñoz presents a scaffold of dense, stacked imagery that signifies the bedrock of his ancestry and family heritage and expresses ongoing challenges and celebrations of identity and change.
