Sue Ann Kahn, Louis I. Kahn’s daughter and editor of Louis I. Kahn: The Last Notebook
Eric M. Lee, director, Kimbell Art Museum
On the 125th anniversary of Louis I. Kahn’s birth, enjoy a special conversation and book event with editor Sue Ann Kahn, Louis Kahn’s daughter, and Kimbell Art Museum Director Eric Lee about Kahn’s publication, Louis I. Kahn: The Last Notebook, a facsimile of her father’s private sketchbook from the last year of his life.
An artifact of historical importance, the Notebook’s pages give us an intimate glimpse into Kahn’s creative process and take us inside the mind of the master architect at the height of his career. Most importantly, his personality permeates its pages and brings the architect to life for a new generation. Kahn and Director Lee take us through its pages and the stories they reveal.
Louis I Kahn: The Last Notebook will be available for purchase at the Kimbell's Museum Shop on the day of the event. Visitors are invited bring their copies for a book signing with Sue Ann Kahn after the lecture.
