Jennifer Clarvoe, poet, Somerville, Massachusetts
Moderated by Claire Barry, director of conservation
Clarvoe will discuss the Bernini’s Modello for the Fountain of the Moor —about which she has written a poem—and other artworks, ancient to modern, in the Kimbell collection. Among her concerns is how an object's material (such as marble or clay) prompts us to think about time, duration, damage, mortality and immortality.
