A Day in the Country and The Little Match Girl

Three films by the legendary Jean Renoir, icon of modern cinema and son of the painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir, offer glimpses into French culture while also revealing the influence of his father’s Impressionist legacy. These free public programs are offered in conjunction with the special exhibition Renoir: The Body, The Senses.

Closed captioning for films screened in the Kahn and Pavilion auditoriums is provided whenever possible. Assistive Listening Devices are available at the auditorium entrance. To request another accessibility accommodation, please email us as far in advance as possible.
